Galleries, Exhibits & Shows: Famous Oil Paintings Photo Essay Revised

I decided to revise my Galleries, Exhibits & Shows: Famous Oil Paintings photo essay because again, like my Parks, Monuments, and Memorials: Roger Williams photo essay lacked my true feelings and opinions of each picture. For my original piece, I just took pictures off Google.com and pasted on to my blogs without a description of the photo or my feelings or thoughts on each particular photo and make it more personal.

This is the famous picture of The Mona Lisa. Her real name is Lisa Gherardini and she is the wife of Francesco del Giocondo. This portrait was painted in oil by the famous Leonardo da
Vinci in the year circa 1503-1519. This particular photo is located in Musee du Louvre, Paris.

This is an amazing photo. I think any photo of a human being is amazing. This picture looks perfect, that it does not even look like an oil painting. It looks more like a photograph.

This is the Arnolfini Portrait. It is an oil painting by Jan van Eyck in the year 1434. This painting is located in National Gallery, London.

This is an another amazing painting, because the picture looks so real. Again, it does not look like an oil painting at all. I love the details in the painting such as the pregnant woman and the puppy.

This painting is The Milkmaid by Jahannes Vermeer. Others call this painting the Kitchen Maid.

It is a painting of a maid pouring milk into a bowl. It looks like she is preparing a meal to serve. She also looks unhappy. Like she feels unappreciative. And also like she puts everyone first before her. She is second to everyone and she just deals with it. I like this painting. It does not look like a painting, instead it looks more of a photograph that someone snapped of this woman. This picture is very dark and sad and I like the intensity of the painting.
